i probably won't post my video for the community, BUT...
Try the "how's the water" approach... basically, you approach a nice young lady and explain that it is a dare from a friend in AUS/NZ/USA/etc... you need her to record you with your camera/smartphone, you will say "it's a nice day here, it's 25 degrees Celcius" and MAYBE you can get her to say "how's the water" and you reply "let me check" and you bend down to stick your hand in the water, while she let's her hand be visible in the camera, and then records her hand pushing you into the water...
The possiblities range from "no way, you're a werido" to possibly meeting the girl of your dreams. What worked for me might not work for you. I didn't record this with "Megan" and i think back to how things might have been different with her? My current girlfriend has done the camera duties a few times, but doesn't seem to want to be the star just yet so far... |

By Malvineous - mrnemesis@ntlworld.com Tue 08/08/23 18:22:30 GMT I can’t swim … but I did play in the water at the nature reserve twice. I went back once more on a cooler day and it was just not warm enough for anyone else to go in. I would have done if anyone else had, but no luck. I wanted to entice a passing lady to join me in the water, but I could not figure out any way to make any part of it work: even if I succeeded, then what?
I hoped I would get soaked walking home from work but it’s only drizzling with rain.
My hobby has crumbled away. It was always going to be short-lived, and it has managed to just about stretch to a year. If I could resolve the massive blockage, it would keep me going for weeks yet, but it would still end.
Getting wet works out well for some people, with or without a willing spouse/partner, and it works a lot less well for others. It’s a complicated mess that I have never been able to piece together; there is no-one out there who understand how I see it. |

By Sander - sanderwtlk@gmail.com Tue 08/08/23 17:12:38 GMT Great to read your experiences, Malvineous. Sounds like a great hobby, but as well a hobby which costs a lot of time I think. Suppose it could be a bit boring when you are always just on your own. The tension of other people is nice as well, I think. Shame that your swim in the local nature reserve didn't happen. I hope you find a solution for your logistical problem.
And wetjeans, how do people react in Amsterdam when they see you swimming in your jeans? Guess Amsterdam is pretty open minded to a lot of things? Anyone ever joined you on the occasion when they saw you swimming? |

By Sander - sanderwtlk@gmail.com Mon 07/08/23 16:56:02 GMT How are you all enjoining this summer?
The summer in Holland is not very great. Most of the people dislike all the rainy days, but for a wetlook lover these days are great. On these rainy days I like to go for a walk and get home soaked. Unfortunately I don’t have a dog, people don’t look weird when you walk with a dog in the rain.
Also I really much like to go for a run in the rain. I wear my trainers, a tight walking pants and a shirt with another shirt over it. At the way back you are soaked and the water really cools you off.
What is your way to a ‘regular’ wetlook in this rainy summer?
