That appears to be correct: the images were simply not archived at the time. I am surprised that it did not archive a single one of them: you often find that a site is partially archived, so I would have thought that it would have saved at least a random selection of the full-size images, rather than none of them. The HTML indicates that it would have had access to the images to save them.

Try middle-click on the images: you’ll see that they appear not to have been archived. It appears that only the thumbnails got archived.
