Hell, I decided not to ramble in this topic, but I am due another of my mind-numbing rambles!
One of the frustrating things about the world is that, of all the combinations that are possible, so few of them are available. You find this when looking for LED light bulbs. You can get pretty much any colour temperature somewhere, e.g. 2700K, 3000K, 3500K etc. You can get any amount of lumens (up to 2000 for GLS bulbs), any shape, any fitting … but if you just happen to want a 3000 or 3200K, GLS, B22, 2000 lumen bulb … good luck with that. There seems to be no megastore, and every supplier only carries a small subset with limited if any useful filtering, and Google tends to hand back bogus results. (Google search results for computer monitors is worse: ask Google Shopping for a given size or resolution and it offers you any model it can find that does not match what you asked for.)
Fetishes work out the same, and the way fetish material works, there is no “fetish megastore” where you can filter by the model’s ethnicity, age, figure, hair colour, clothing type etc. regardless of producer.
Plenty of crossovers don’t exist or are far too rare. For example, there is plenty of regular erotica and porn involving naturally hairy women, but that is virtually nonexistent in wetlook, which is a real shame — you’ll never see hairy legs or armpits, and seeing pubes through (or poking out from) underwear is virtually nonexistent. If you’re looking for a natural look (no make-up) that will limit you again. Even outfits seem to slot into particular buckets. Dresses are common, but they fit particular patterns, and are more likely to be party dresses or formal dresses, than “girl next door” casual dresses. I don’t care for sleeveless dresses, but that is pretty much all you get. As I get older, the young age of models is getting more and more implausible for me!
What is also rare is outfits that look modest dry, and really clingy wet (especially braless). By this I mean clothes that conform to the figure: tight clothes actually hide the figure, while loose clothes can cling around it. The problem with a lot of productions is that clothes that reveal the shape of boobs when wet, already do so when dry, and I like the idea of modest clothes that look normal, becoming revealing when wet, in particular when there was no plan to get wet (e.g. spontaneous swimming, or a sudden rainstorm). It’s surprisingly hard to get spontaneously soaked in rain even in Britain!
I doubt anything will change — wetlook is too niche a market to find the full range of possible combinations.
As for “polished” — I don’t think that it’s necessarily the styling or quality, but the models tend to look too … Well, put it another way, I am more attracted to women with interesting characteristics, especially face shape. I like to see something special in their eyes. Erik Elsas is a good example of a producer who doesn’t choose “Hollywood” face shapes — he has lots of “girl next door” types.
Unfortunately for me, I am attracted the most by brains—intelligence, imagination, a complex soul—and wetlook scenes seldom offer that kind of insight! Wetlook scenes are just a mechanical “get wet” process, and in person I think I would care less about the outfit and more that I was getting wet with someone special … something that will never happen. |

By Lorraine - newlagooninc@gmail.com Sat 13/11/21 14:29:44 GMT I hear you. As an amateur and then doing some videos and photo sets sometimes it got easy to get away from simple, realistic and meaningful wet look and it was easy to slip into an idea ... of "oh what would the viewer most like to see?". At that point, for me, it just becomes a bit stale. The emotion behind the wet look for me has always been the thing I most enjoy and realistic clothing. Because I mostly liked dresses, etc., that is what I liked, buy many people I notice preferred a completely covered up look with no "skin". What do you like the most, a fullly covered up look that is a natural outfit or a skimpy outfit? I am just curious.... L. |

By Anonymoist - Fri 12/11/21 21:02:09 GMT To me, it's always about the clothes. It doesn't matter whether is posed or spontaneous, amateur or professional. If the video or photo is of good quality and the outfits are nice then I'm happy. I will admit that videos of models just posing can become somewhat tedious and that a story line would be preferable and provide some context as to why they're wet. That's why I'm partial to photos especially when captured at the peak of wetness (but not underwater). One thing I am tiring of with professional photos however is when the model is posed with one foot pointed downward. It's so cliche that it becomes annoying although a good outfit with abundant wet shine can make those more palatable. |

By Lorraine - newlagooninc@gmail.com Thu 11/11/21 00:24:38 GMT Website: https://wetlookangels.com// www.wetlookangels.com HI everyone! Hope you all are holding up during the long time we had due to Covid. We hope the swimming pools start to open up soon! I was starting to think that wet look photos and videos are really becoming polished and commercial looking and was kinda of missing the days when it was more amateur. Any thoughts on that? Guess i kind of miss the old days. L. https://wetlookangels.com/ / www.wetlookangels.com
