FYI....I posted a rare photo of Sophie Aldred together with her stunt double before the wetlook scene they did where Ace dives into the ocean and swims in her dress and stockings.
This illustrates that her stunt double did the dive and the underwater swim, and Sophie did the last bit where she emerges from the sea and runs up the beach.

If you want to binge 24/7 on classic Doctor Who episodes from 1963-1989 all day long and 7 days a week....for FREE...there are 2 excellent Classic Doctor Who streaming channel apps you can download and play on your Android or Smart TV or tablets, pcs and smartphones. If you have an Android TV or streaming devices such as ROKU or Amazon Firestick, down the 2 apps called PLUTO TV and AIRY TV. They both stream Doctor Who 24/7 on special channels. Pluto TV is great, but the new AIRY TV app (now in Beta mode) is even better because it is commercial free, so no interruptions. I am not sure if these apps are geo blocked in some countries. I am in the USA and they work here, so if you cannot find those apps they may be geo-hidden by Google Playstore on Roku Store if you are outside the USA, so you might need a VPN to change servers. I am pretty sure that AIRY TV is a UK app because they stream tons of vintage British tv shows like Morecame abd Wise, Dick Emery, The Goodies, Des O Connor, Mike Yarwood and Little and Large. So.. if you like vintage UK tv shows for free....then PLUTO TV and AIRY TV apps are a must have on your devices.

In reply to Message (83664.2) Re:Ace in Doctor Who
By MK - wamtec@comcast.net Sun 20/12/20 23:33:14 GMT Also don't forget the other wetlook scene from that same serial Battlefield, where Ace is trapped inside a water tank ....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XaaJQFHt2-A
and if you search some more or get the official DVD there is a behind the scenes documentary showing how they made that water tank scene, and how the stunt all went wrong because the glass cracked and broke the tank and some crew members had to drag Sophie Aldred out of the water tank that had burst.
