It is not as simple as that. Those listings I quoted were for the original VHS tapes I once had, and I only had the items on VHS tape from 1987 to 2007. After 2007 I moved to a much smaller house and I no longer had the spare rooms to store all the VHS tapes I had (over 6000 of them)....so I began a process of reviewing and scanning all the old VHS tapes, and picking the best scenes from each tape and then converting it all to DVDs and digital files. During this process I skipped all the following scenes....
- duplicate scenes I already had on other tapes - all the lame or mnior scenes that were not that good - all the poor quality tv recordings that were not worth saving
So from 2007 to 2009 I spent 2 years whittling down the 6000 VHS tapes I once had, into around 2000 DVDs and download files.....and then once I completed the project I threw all the VHS tapes in the dumpster and donated them to the Garbage Man.
So, what I have today are the better scenes only, and most of the old reference numbers were rendered obsolete and I created NEW reference numbers for the new digital archiives....so you can't refer to those old VHS numbers any more, and if you want to search for something I now have as a digital file you must look at my DVD/Download listings....which are here ....
https://wamtec.com/Old_to_New.txt
You need to use your CTRL F fiind key on your browse to search for the titles you want...and then you can look up those ref numbers on my Megastore site to find those download files.
Have fun searching.

By Anonymous - Wed 25/11/20 21:15:16 GMT So, without asking you to make a compilation - which of course I understand will be very time consuming and probably isn't possible. I would be very interested in 45405, 45403, 45402, 43502, 1203 or MK214. Where would I find tapes / download files for that? |

By MK - wamtec@comcast.net Wed 25/11/20 19:42:11 GMT The Good news is.....I have most of these scenes from the different versions of these shows. I made a temp listing file, so you can browse what I have here ...
The Bad News is......these clips are scattered about on many former VHS tapes which were converted to many different download files....so they are now located on many different download files per the ref numbers in the left site column. I do not have a compilation file that places all these clips onto 1 compilation file....and don't ask me to make a compilation because I am too busy to do extra editing work.

In reply to Message (83391.1.2.2) Do you still have any recordings from any of these shows?
By Anonymous - Tue 24/11/20 19:09:11 GMT I've seen a few of them on your site, but it sounds like there must be A LOT more! Do you, or anyone else here on this forum, still have any more recordings from Over de Roo(o)ie or any other similar shows? |
In reply to Message (83391.1.2) that was the 2015 remake show
By MK - wamtec@comcast.net Tue 24/11/20 01:01:42 GMT Erik Elsas knows much more about this than I do, because he supplied me with all of his VHS tv recordings of the orginal version of this show,, which was called "Over de Rooie" in Holland and aired 96 episodes between 1996 and 1998. This is the 1996 Dutch series ...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZPtJKF5a-g
There are no wet and messy stunts on this episode, but trust me, they did numerous wetlook and messy stunts in the streets on many episodes. Erik recorded them all and kindly shared his VHS taoe collection of clips in 1998.
Now for the history lesson -- the original concept of this show (offering people money to do crazy stunts in public streets) first originated in the USA in 1984, with the Fred Travalena show called "Anything For Money" where they did lots of wet stunts with everyday people in public streets. That concept was then syndicated and copied in the 1980's and 90's in many other countries. So then you had copies of the show being done in the UK (with Jeremy Beadle) and versions done in Germany, Italy and 20 other countries. In the Netherlands other tv stations copied the show at least 4 times in tne last 20 years. In the usa MTV did a version of the same show, and in the UK you had other shows like "Wouild Ya Cud Ya" and "I bet you will" doing the same thing and in Australia and New Zealand you had many wetlook stunts in the 1990's on their version of the same concept on their show "Who Dares Wins".
Even our good friend Leon from Mostwam borrowed most of the same concepts for his more recent "Streetsplash" series videos.
Having seen all the clips from the many different versions of this show I would say that the best scenes are those that happened on the original 1984 Fred Travelena show and the more recent reenactments done by the Mostwam team on their Streetsplash series.

In reply to Message (83391) Dutch tv show?
By Charlie - bravocharlie101@yahoo.com Mon 23/11/20 19:57:54 GMT Wondering if anyone remembers a Dutch tv show where they challenged people to jump into the canal to retrieve a boot and similar tasks? Must’ve been about 5 or 6 years ago.
Would love to find those again :)
Thanks!
