Nice one for the memory bank, sometimes you cant help getting wet in a sudden downpour, one time i actually wanted to stay dry i stepped off a bus and it started raining heavy very quick, within seconds my shoes filled up with water from just the rain as i avoided the puddles |
In reply to Message (77796) Moscow thunderstorm
By Anonymous from across the globe - Wed 17/07/19 22:16:35 GMT Today it rained rather hard on Moscow. I was walking from a subway station, through one of those yard streets, which in the area had particularly bad drainage. People would jump from curb to curb and between high spots to avoid the streams of water in vain attempts of keeping their shoes dry. Then I saw a young woman, wearing a tank top, three quarter length jeans and blue sockless flats. She did carry an umbrella, but she has given up on having her feet dry. She would carelessly plod through deep puddles and streams. With every step she took, I saw water flow over the sides of her shoes, filling them. One could easily assume she did not mind the feeling and even had a slight smile on her face. It was a lovely sight. |
