The times that stick out the most are usually when I'm with someone and they end up in the pool with me.

One time a girlfriend and I were staying at the Sofitel in Los Angeles and we'd had a great dinner at their restaurant, had several drinks and a bottle of wine so neither of us was feeling any pain, and she said she wanted to check out the different areas of the hotel so we ended up outside at the pool. It was a warm summer evening so we sat on a couple of the loungers and made out a bit and just chit chatted. I was dying to get in the pool but we'd only been going out a month or so and it was our first time spending a weekend together so I sort of figured it wouldn't happen. We were both admiring the pool and both comment how inviting it looked and both agreed that if we'd brought bathing suits we'd get in.

She totally set me up by saying she wondered if the water was warm so I bent down and leaned forward to feel it and as my hand touched the water I felt her foot against my back and I went flying into the pool. When I surfaced she was laughing hysterically and as I waded over to the edge where she was she couldn't stop laughing. There was a group of people on an upper terrace that overlooked the pool and they were looking down at us and clapping and laughing.

I got out of the pool and took her hand and stood her up and asked her if she was going to jump in with me or I'd have to continue enjoying my swim by myself. She said I wouldn't dare jump back in and I asked her why not, I was already wet. I left her and walked over to the deeper end and dove in and swam over to where she was by the edge and told her the water felt great and it was too bad she was so chicken that she wouldn't get in. She said, "I can't believe I'm doing this," and dove in.

I took my blazer off, which was completely ruined, and we started splashing each other and just swimming around and having a ball. After maybe 10 or 15 minutes a guy from the hotel came out and said we should get out because management didn't want people swimming in their clothes. At that point we'd both taken our shoes off but that was it and I told him which suite we were staying in and after confirming it, he apologized and asked if he could have someone bring us anything. I asked if he could have someone bring each of us one of the signature cotton candy martinis and sure enough, within 5 minutes a gal from the bar brought us out our drinks. All told, we were in the pool for at least an hour and it was great.
