Assuming you're talking about candid walk-ins, Mr E, in my experience on British beaches it is very common for 'candid wetters' to go in slowly, because they are trying (or pretending to try) to keep their clothes dry, with at each step a (pseudo-) reluctance to get yet another bit wet.
But it is very uncommon for it to be filmed. Why? Because the gradual wetters are pretending that they're not going to get wet so don't announce in advance that they are going in, therefore the person with the camera doesn't realise that there's going to be anything worth filming until they are already well into the water. Those people who announce in advance that the cameras should start rolling almost invariable then make a big show of jumping, diving or running in quickly, because they think that is more videogenic. They're wrong, of course..... |
