The filters can handle it. However, it is difficult to check, if "proper" clothes are clean and they are also more prone to get damaged by chlorine (which might be a cause for legal issues in some countries). It is also about that they do not want to have to many people doing it for various reasons.
I would not try to hard trying to swim in (public) indoor pools fully clothed, just because some people might take offence and pressure the owners of the pool to adjust to rules to forbid it. I personally found that best places to do wetlook are private pools (if you have (private) access to them, which is rarely the case) or even better lakes (or the sea). I know many lakes, that have an easily accessible shore and plenty of hidden spots (if you prefer to reduce the number of people watching you). There are no real rules (for swimming attire) in lakes, so you can do what ever you want. (As an alternative, rivers are fine too, but usually they are either to shallow, have a strong current or are too cold.)
Sweden has lots of lakes (and a long sea shore ... I've already done wetlook in the Baltic Sea a couple of times, it is fine enough), so you should be able to find some places easily. Of course this is not an option in winter, but that's the time, when one has to settle for a shower or bath tube. I have to admit, that I do not obsess as much as on doing wetlook as the other wetlookers that I met ... I enjoy it, when I have the opportunity of course, but there are also so many other things in my life. For me doing wetlook is a like a good whisky: I drink it when offered the chance and occasionally on my own, when I am in the mood, but I only in rare cases, I will make a huge afford to get one right now and I most definitely won't have one every day or think about it all the time. |

By Wetlooker2 - Sun 06/03/16 22:34:27 GMT Burkinis and all what you call it in english are not a problem, if you entering the pool with polyester leggings and a shirt in polyester its no problem either.
But i will find a pool there i can swim with a shirt in cotton and pants, jeans or similar. And yes its the cleaning systems and filters...it will be more chlorine in the water if the wather quality not are perfect and that makes the air in the indoor area bad for people who are there.
Clean water will give you clean air. |

By wetimer - Sun 06/03/16 22:21:00 GMT It's got nothing to do with filters and cleaning systems. It's simply not the done thing, here in the UK.
I do take my children swimming (in conventional attire) and see the occasional muslim woman wearing leggings and a rash vest or similar. Even the occasional man in a rash vest. But they're in a tiny minority and, of course, for most of us, that doesn't even count as proper wetlook.
(Although personally, I love wet leggings lol) |

By Wetlooker2 - Sun 06/03/16 17:55:51 GMT I have check the pools around Sweden, try to find a pool there i can swim clothed. I find one place and 4 years later i move in to that town but the rules are changed they say.
But now i have find a private pool there i can buy some swimming lesson with a own swim teacher, and i can go and swim there if its no people in the pool, waiting for a answer if they can accept swimming with clothes.
But now i find another pool in south Sweden there they say - the "swimmingclothes" are the clothes you use when you swim and if you are clean and the clothes are clean its okey to swim with them.
And i have to try another pool but its a very small private pool but its one woman who own the rules there, maybe the most easy way to be accepted to swim clothes, its private and one person who have the rules.
I wish they can built a indoor pool with better cleaning system and better filters, its be more easy that way and they can accept people to swim clothes if they want.
WHat are they saying in your town or in your country?
