I agree it can be very sexy. However as some fellow producers pointed out, it's oftentimes not to easy to produce good material, you have to be in the right place at the right time. If the rain is not strong enough it does not provide good shots, if it pours down heavily oftentimes lightning is a real problem, let alone you risk your equipment if you don't have a proper shelter.

But after all I alsoo managed to have one or the other nice shooting in the rain

Hav you ever considered doing video/photo shoots in places with heavy rain. I think it's much sexier than jumping into a pool.

Messy Model also had a photo set with Bambi in a heavy rain shower in jeans in Thailand - very sexy.
