By Desert Hawk - Mon 03/11/14 08:36:42 GMT It's been awhile since I posted, but I have been here reading, usually with a great classic rock or country song playing in another window. It sure is great finally having high speed internet. I thought I would post about what has been going on in my life this year, both on topic and off topic. It was a great summer of many visits to Six Flags Magic Mountain and the adjoining Hurricane Harbor waterpark. Always lots of nice wet women to see there. I didn't get to go to the California Extreme classic arcade show in Santa Clara this year because I wouldn't get those days off. I missed a great show and missed going to California's Great America with included Boomerang Bay waterpark the day before the show. I sure hope I get to go next year. I was able to get off in August and went to Las Vegas again. I lost $125 gambling. I spent 2 days with my friend that lives in Las Vegas. I showed him some wetlook pictures on the internet and played his Cobra Command arcade game. I went to Gamer's Paradise, where they now have a multigame machine that has lots of my favorite arcade classics including Beast Busters. It was so wonderful to play Beast Busters again after 13 years without playing it. I had fun last month at the Kern County Fair. They had the White Water log flume ride, but unfortunately this year I didn't see any women come off of it soaked. In previous years there were a few. Still, the fair is one of the highlights of my year.
The year hasn't been all good. My schnauzer Charles died 2 months ago. He was only 5. He wasn't sick until 1 week before he died. He suddenly had trouble breathing and couldn't keep food down. The diagnosis: terminal cancer of the nose and throat. I have a new dog now, a cocker spaniel / Chihuahua / dachshund / sheltie mix named Peter, after Peter Tomarken, the host of Press Your Luck (If you've been on this forum awhile you remember that my screen name used to be Whammy). One of my cars, a junk 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera, cost me big bucks this year. Over $500 to get it to pass smog check. Then it needed 3 new tires, cost $270+. Then $250 to fix an electrical short to the fuel pump. Well, that's all for now.
