I don't want to be too critical myself, because it is not popular on this forum, even if it is justified, but as a (former) paying customer, I have the right to say:
You are right nat. You are not the first one to point out the deficiencies of the photographer on this site. The owner doesn't see to listen.
And it is not just the skills of the photographer but the camera also. The exif data shows it is a Sony DSC-TX10, which is, albeit waterproof and shockproof, still only a compact camera, and not the best one at that, with limitations of the tiny lens. The white balance is way off too.
One more thing I noticed in the one and only update I bought - the video is so compressed that it is full of compression artifacts, many of my standard definition videos I bought look better that this kind of "HD", It is good as a hobby, but not as a professional output for resale. This was the only reason I never bought any updates from them ever since, otherwise I love the models.
I am not a professional photographer, more of a hobbyist, but my suggestion to the owner would be to invest some of the profit from the previous sets and:
1. Buy a new or even a good used DSLR, like an older Nikon D3100, or at least a high-end compact camera. The megapixel count doesn't matter. Wetlook-online, according to the exif data, uses a 10 year old 6 MP Nikon D70 DSLR and the results are brilliant. Pics are resampled for web use to about 2 MP anyway. 2. If waterproof is a must, buy a waterproof case for the DSLR, they are readily available for the best brands of DSLRs. 3. To show the wetness, which nat and me would like to see, use some lights or use a reflector. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reflector_%28photography%29#mediaviewer/File:Photographing_a_model.jpg Natural light never seems to be enough to show the wetness in indoor and in some outdoor shootings.
