I fully agree... and I use to pay attention to everything the guys on the forums say about our work...

On the other hand you have to understand that sometimes it's hard to not be upset about a negative comment because after all every producer care about the work he do and every one of the producers want to produce the best... I think that there is nobody out there who say... I don't care what I will produce, because these day what you produce might mean you live or die (as producer of course)...

Years ago it was not like this and when there was only 4-5 producers the things was more simple... but these day there are around 80-100 producers who produce wetlook (roughly guess) and if you don't produce good stuff then the ppl will simple not buy it and you will not even cover the costs of the production let alone the profit (and profit these days MaK is a "rara avis", trust me on this)...

But you know even if the sales and the times are not the best the ppl who reply on the forums and give credit for your work makes you forget for few moments all the problems, and make you smile and say, look I made something pretty nice if someone was reply to my post.

So really, I might sound pathetic but it's not the PROFIT that push producers forward, but the recognition of their work. At least I am like this... I cannot speak for my partners Mark or Leon BUT I think like this... IF you produce nice things ppl will say nice things about your work and maybe some of them will buy the update which will mean that you start to get back some of your invested money... If you can be even more creative and make something even more interesting you can get more feedback and more sales and you even make a profit from your productions.
