I clicked on the link to the "traditional values" website, and they criticized a deputy AG nominee for his work suing Big Tobacco, while labeling as "pro-death" anyone who supports abortion rights. It seems to me that Big Tobacco profits from a product that kills 1,000 Americans every day, and if that isn't pro-death, then I don't know what is. |

By MK - wamtec@comcast.net Sat 21/02/09 01:32:16 GMT ...fyi...that article referring to wetlook fetish media and u.s. government attempts at legislation regarding what they deem to be "pornography".....is about as old and stale as a 3 year old loaf of bread. That article was written in 2006...when Youtube was pretty new and only just launched, and when the U.S. legal system was under the prior Bush Administration. A LOT has changed in the last 3 years, not the least of which, is a totally new Obama administration and a new Attorney General and a totally more liberal view on such matters (and get this..Obama's new Deputy U.S. Attorney General David Ogden has a long history of DEFENDING x rated adult entertainment companies such as Playboy, in legal cases, and even represented a defendent in a child porn case too...and when he was recently appointed....this was praised by Hustler and Playboy magazine as being a great "friend" in the white house now). See how liberal Ogden is when it comes to adult sexual matters
http://www.traditionalvalues.org/modules.php?sid=3552
We now have the most "pro-adult entertainment industry" attorney general in u.s. history.......so don't expect any crackdowns on porn on the internet now.
People are always attempting to define what is "pornography"...and attempts to define wetlook fetishes as porn, have and will always continue to fail...cos you can never get 2 people to agree upon what the definition of pornography is. Remember...it was Supreme Court Justice Potter who in 1964 said about pornography.."I shall not attempt to define it -- but' I'll know it when I see it"....ha ha
Now we have one of the most liberal legal climates in decades.....it is not censorship you have to fear....but more fundamental things such as the worldwide economic recession, and rising debt and future taxations.
