Stacey and I stayed at a hotel in upsate NY that was outdoor/heated. Mid October. It was the last weekend before they closed it. We went out for a nice dinner and drinks, walked back to the hotel and saw it was still uncovered (at about 9:30pm). It was maybe 40 degrees out so we were dressed in a few layers. And the drinks made us not really care that there were people on the balcony half-watching us as we dove in and swam around for a few minutes, sneakers, jackets and all. That was such a great time.
We always talk about going back but haven't had the money to make that trip again. Maybe next year. |

By Mark - jtsmark@yahoo.com Sun 07/10/07 18:59:13 GMT I don't like business trips and fortunately I don't have to go often, but recently I discovered one advantage: swimming fully clothed in a hotel pool. I have only traveled twice since, but in both hotels nobody cared. I swam on multiple occasions for about half an hour in jeans, T-shirt and a longsleeve T-shirt. The staff was certainly aware of it, but did not say anything. Was I just lucky?
