Most of the songs were crap...
Apart from the Cypriot entry (which I cannot obviously judge impartially) the only other ones which I can say I liked were Belarus, Montenegro, Albania, the Netherlands and Croatia.
But you are right... the neighbours do count. Remember the 2001 and 2002 contests, won by Estonia and Latvia respectively. Baltic countries get the support from both the Scandinavians and the former Soviet Union. |

By sjakie - Thu 10/05/07 19:53:34 GMT That not the song counts but how many neighbour countried do you have to reach the final. A few neighbours means: forget it. Do you have an ugly song but enough neighbours. Welcome to the final. |

In reply to Message (29021) Eurovision - no water on stage...
By Andrew - Thu 10/05/07 17:23:18 GMT The semi-finals of the Eurovison contest have started. Bulgaria was the opening act. The water song was as suspected totally dry. Well, I guess it was hard to do technically on such a contest, but it still is a shame. Water on stage is rarelly used during live performances and it should be used more often, because the effect is great (like the Britney Spears wet jeans concert, back in the old days, when she looked hot ;)).
