ALL the recent reruns of "Dirty Dancing" cut out the great "practice dancing in the lake" scene!
Bah!

By MK - wamtec@compuserve.com Thu 21/07/05 13:34:29 GMT Well....here is another mystery for JJ's pending file on VintageWet.
We thought we had FINALLY tracked down that long lost scene from GUNSMOKE where Miss Kitty gets dunked in the water trough...see JJ's pics...here

Both of these old magazine cuttings mention an episode called SATURDAY NIGHT...and out of 600+ episodes, there was only one episode from 1967 that had that title....and after months of waiting, it finally aired on TVLAND today.....but guess what. No such scene is in this episode....moreover...Amanda Blake was not even in this episode at all. If Amanda Blake were in it, but the scene was missing....then I would blame TVLAND for cutting 3-4 mins from the episode...which they often do...to make space for commercial breaks (i.e. the famous Barbara Eden clothed dunk tank scenes from Harper Valley PTA tv series were only shown on the ORIGINAL airing of that episode...when TVLAND aired it years later...they cut out most of her dunks to make space for commercial breaks). However...the fact that Amanda Blake was not even in this SATURDAY NIGHT episode at all....tends to suggest that the magazine article is wrong...but it was not that episode....but perhaps some other episode made at around the same time....
...so...my hunch says...to watch Gunsmoke for the next few days...cos if might be in one of the subsequent episodes this week.
