By Plonss - Mon 20/08/18 00:17:16 GMT Hi Tobias, from the first moment that the skinny jeans became fashion again, that was, I think in 2006 or 2007, I felt they would bring a high potential for wetlook, because they are not only difficult to rol up but also to take off. The first advertisement I saw at the time for the skinny jeans (that was the low raise type then, in currently the high raise variant is popular) of, if I well remember an Italian company indeed let their models swim like fishes in their ultra tight jeans. I of course also like the soaking effect of the flared jeans, but that does not compare for me with a completely wet skinny jeans. Moreover the skinny jeans seem to shine more the first moment after surfacing from water, indeed like a second skin. |

By Tobias - Sun 19/08/18 23:04:32 GMT Several years back, flared jeans were very popular. I loved the way they would soak up the moisture from puddles and wet pavements, the colour change rising steadily. Living in the UK this was a frequent and welcome sight, particularly in the winter months when it is too cold to see girls in the sea.
More recently, skinny jeans have become fashionable, which has all but eliminated this type of wetlook. However, I have noticed that skinny jeans are much more difficult to roll up. On a number of occasions this summer I have seen girls attempt to roll up their jeans with futility, then wade into the sea in their jeans.
Is there a preference on the forum for flared or skinny jeans?
