It is about 5C colder than normal for the time of year here in Scotland, and the hills I can see from my window still have snow down to about 400m above sea level - which we're told is all because of "cold winds from Scandinavia" (or sometimes "...from Russia", Dima). So if you guys would get rid of your snow, we could start Spring here! It is true, though, that in Britain the weather patterns which lead to unusually cold weather in winter, tend to lead to unusually hot weather in summer if they continue, so here's hoping..... |

By Dima - dima@wetlooker.com Sat 31/03/18 10:34:35 GMT We have a sign in Russia: If winter is very cold, summer should be very hot) |

By victor - Sat 31/03/18 10:16:34 GMT Last summer was abnormally cold, with rare warm days and very few hot days. Now it looks more like winter than spring, the temperature is one degree above zero, the snow hasn't melted and it was pretty cold just a couple of days ago . What about the next summer... Let's wait and see. |

By Wetlooker2 - Sat 31/03/18 09:34:25 GMT Summer -17 was not so warm, but the lake i took a bikeride to was warm enough for me, the water was up around +22c and that was warm for me.
Tomorrow its april, 1 and the snow its not gone yet, i think it will be high water in the lake and maybe one day its up to 19c so i can take a swim, of course clothed!
And now we talk northern Sweden, but the south part of it....lol. But we can have a heatwave soon. Hope so, i will sit there see out over the lake and eat some watermelon. Of course in my wet clothes.
Hows in your area?
