The first modelled wetlook I'm aware of was shot in the 1920s or 1930s, it's possible there was some before that, the first mass-market camera was the Kodak Brownie which came out in 1900, a hundred and twenty two years ago. There used to be a "Vintage Wetlook" website that featured black and white scenes from those very early days though I think it's gone now.
In more recent times the earliest wetlook producers as we now understand the term would include WSM, Erik Elsas, Messy Fun, WAMTEC, Splosh!, and Crazy Girls, all of whom were producing material in the 1990s and I think in a few cases the late 1980s - before the dawn of the commercial Internet, which took off between 1992 and 1995 in the US and UK. |
In reply to Message (91612) Who was the first producers in to Wetlook-modelling?
By Wetlooker2 - Sat 05/11/22 01:01:22 GMT I think I will change the subject from "Producers who not are active today - what about their material?".
Just thinking about wetlook modelling from earlier years, are some of their material still online or are they gone? Would be nice to see what was popular maybe 20 years ago....or maybe more.....
Maybe the quality are not so well like today but will be great to see it. What about the first producers?
And the new question I just had just now, who was the first producers? Would be nice to see who was first, and not only one of them....can be many.
