Thanks for the additional info. All actually does seem fine, maybe except for the fact that they are expensive towards producers, but you know, with their no updating rule they are just creepy. The design of the CCBill website and those old names. I mean I wonder if Russians from St. Petersburg still have to use Leningrad at CCBill :D. But yeah, I never turned away from a site for using CCBIll, just wanted some info and reassurance as many others seemed to have doubts about this processor. But as it's the one that makes your type of wetlook possible, I salute them, as I love your site |

By WetlookHD - wetlookdvd@gmail.com Sat 17/02/18 19:09:07 GMT Website: https://wetlookclip.nl// www.wetlookHD.com We just switched to CCbill after exploring about a hundred other payment providers (really 100!!). The kind of wetlook we make is not easy to get accepted for creditcard payments and it forced us switch to a totally new webshop,
CCbill is expensive but has high ratings for their service and it's possible to set up for instant video-delivery,
Only when we sell very large amounts we can switch to other payment providers.
CCbill only needs customer data for verifying the creditcard and to prevent fraud.
The name & adres you fill in the form in our shop is for your own use only. You get an invoice on that adres, for the video you've bought.
European customers can also use bank wire, which is processed in a few days.

By MikeyABQ - Fri 16/02/18 20:46:06 GMT Them being old actually makes sense. That's why the interface looks so dated and the weird regions etc, they just don't seem to update.
As for the data I wasn't really talking about producers getting it, rather the processor getting it, I mean someone is selling people's data (even in the EU with strict laws) and it's not wetlook producers for sure, but the big companies, well, I don't like when they want to know to much. But than your point makes sense. I mean I always liked Verotel as they only wanted name, number, expiration date, cvv - no address or phone, but maybe it was less safe. I actually don't know why many producers were using Verotel some time ago and now it seems nobody is still doing it. Maybe they did a Paypal type stunt, but as they are EU (Dutch?) based it seems less possible. |

By vikwam - info@wamderland.net Fri 16/02/18 18:55:01 GMT Website: www.wamderland.net Hello Guys
We would be really happy to offer Paypal as a payment solution on our website but unfortunately Paypal decided a few month ago that wetlook is pornographic ... no comment. Our Paypal account was blocked, money frozen. It was impossible to convince them about wetlook not being X rated.
While many of you have doubts about CCBill, it's one of the oldest payment processor based in the US.
WE DON'T GET ACCESS TO YOUR PRIVATE DATA! We only get a name and an email address, as well as the amount what you have paid. This is only enough to identify who paid for what.
On the other side giving your name and address to the credit card processor gives you the security to be reimbursed in case of a CC fraud. As many payment processors only ask for CC number and CCV number, it's impossible to identify who made the payment .. whether the CC number was stolen or if it was really the CC holder
CCBill is quite an expensive payment provider, so believe us that we would use Paypal if we could.

By MikeyABQ - Fri 16/02/18 00:55:23 GMT Guys, what are your opinions on CCBill? I mean I’ve used it a few times with a low limit credit card, but am a bit wary of using this payment processor (unlike any other) with my main cards. The issues I see are:
1) CCBill tends to want A LOT of your data. Full address, phone number, everything in most countries. Paypal style, while being less reputable than paypal. Unlike say Verotel which works just fine minimal data (name, cc number, expiration date, cvv)
2) I’ve once tried CCBill from Poland and had my biggest WTF moment. The year was 2017. The choosing of a region was mandatory. And the regions were... pre-1999 regions. But that’s not all, almost half of them were misspelled. And I don’t mean just the ones with Polish letters. The capital region of Warsaw (pre-99) was spelled Warazawa... while the Polish spelling of Warsaw is Warszawa. So someone hit the wrong key... and they kept it for years? Decades? I’ve never seen such things on sites of CC processors. Also the whole thing is useless I’ve used a random non-misspelled region some 300 km away from the one in which my Polish credit card was issued and it still was approved.
So a weird CC processor... anyone had problems with it?
