It's basicly like the traffic on the highways or the autobahn like they call 'm here: If the road is empty, you can move along quite fast, even with a smaller car. When almost everybody is on the road, then even in a Ferrari you're just as slow as anybody else. And a 8-lane highway (Fast server, many connections at the same time possible) takes more traffic as a country road (Slow server, narrow bandwide). |

By Sopping - Wed 01/10/03 01:44:46 GMT I must operate with a slow, dial-up connection. OK, not great but I can live with it - most of the time.
But can someone with the appropriate technical smarts explain to me how:
1. Asianology connects and downloads with the speed of light! The page, and then the pictures, appear in record time. This is, IMHO, the fasttest and most responsive site in our wetlook world.
2. But Community Webshots take light years to connect, in both the album and individual pictures mode. And even longer to show the pictures from the album thumbnails. I'vrr just about given them up.
