That sounds like a liberal's idea of something stupid to levy another tax on. I say NO NEW TAXES! I can't stand the enviornmentalist wackos. They think that everything is going to ruin the Earth. The planet is not in danger. One volcano can make more pollution than all 6 billion people! And what about all the deer and bear and rabbits farting in the forest? All the bureaucrats want is more of our hard-earned money for pork barrel spending. Speaking of pork barrel spending, I wonder of any of that money the government is going to appropriate for more sex research will be used to study wetlook and wammers? It would be cool if we got something for us out of all the money the government confiscates form us (gee, I found a way to keep this message somewhat on topic!). |

The government of New Zealand, in an attempt to aid efforts to curb global warming, has come up a new tax. Cattle and sheep farmers have to pay a tax because of the methane emissions produced by their herds of ruminant animals. The tax has been named the:
Farm Animal Ruminant Tax
The tax itself is a real idea (not sure of its actual implementation); that may not be its official name (may have been coined by the farming lobby who probably wouldn't welcome yet another tax).
