By Wet_Gorilla - hardy_har_hard@hotmail.com Sat 16/11/02 01:04:48 GMT I have noticed an increased interest here of late with peer to peer file sharing, particularly with the arguments regarding the Styx clip. In my opinion this raises some important questions as to what exactly is acceptable. Here are a number of questions for you to put across your opinions on.
If a clip has been made available by a producer, but only on their website, should we be sharing it peer to peer? If a clip has not been made available by a producer, is it a breech of copyright for someone else to use peer to peer to share it off their own back? Does the source matter? i.e. if the clip was produced by a non-wetlook producer (ie music video), but it still interests us, should we be allowed to share it? any other comments?
(ps don't shoot me...i'm just playing devils advocate here...)
