The good news is, this is an easy event for anybody in the San Francisco area to attend...just go to the Phoenix Hotel on that night, and camcorders and picture taking are permitted. The bad news is, in the past 4 years, these events have mostly been 75% males getting dunked, and only 25 females taking the plunge...plus the tickets to this charity event have now gone up from $50 to $100 for the entrance ticket....however, if anybody in the SF area is interested in going, and takes their camcorder, I will reimburse you for the cost of the ticket, plus your gasolime, parking and a meal if you send me a copy of your tape. Email me if anybody wants to go. FYI., I had one of my contacts attend this event 2 years ago, and he was kinda disapointed that ice skater Kristi Yamaguchi was keen to take the plunge in her black evening dress....but some stupid official stepped in and told her to step aside so that some bozo in a chicken costume would go in instead. Also, the San Francisco 49ers cheerleaders were at poolside ...none of them went in that year...perhaps they will this year. mk Replying to Message (30) SF Pool toss By Bill, Fri 13/09/02 21:28:33 GMT I read online that the San Francisco pool toss is comming up shortly, it is Oct. 17 in SF. This is the event where people bid on getting to push other into a pool fully clothed. I checked out their website but no names of the "victims" yet but the website said to check back at the end of the month. Any of our nor-cal contingent thinking of going to this?
