I've noticed a lot of party pics where inflatable pools were used. Looks like an interesting solution. I have no experience with such things, but I'd also speculate that they'd be vulnerable to collapse. With all the electrical equipment around (sound system, lights, bar fridge, etc.), I'd wonder about safety. Looks a bit like there may have been a barrier at the bar and dj to address any possible flooding if the pool collapses (these pools look pretty big - would hold a LOT of water). I'd have to wonder if a collapse would be easily blown off. On the other hand, I can't imagine a pool that size being drained and dismantled during the party... again, a lot of water and it's got to go somewhere.

These pics provide some interesting insights on portable pool equipments. At the beginning of the galleries, the pool looks great...just the kind that leonmoomin should have for his portable pool party plans. However, halfway thru the galleries, the pool appears to have collapsed...so I am wondering if this was dismantled intentionally, or just collapsed due to too much abuse from the partygoers. Thats the problem with these portable pools...too much abuse and they don't last for long....so I like to see all the pool parties held in the UK and Germany...to ascertain which kind of portable pool each venue uses...and which is the most durable if we were to start organizng these events too.
